The Yemen Mine Clearance Project "Masam" announced that its teams have successfully removed 2,656 explosives, including landmines and unexploded ordnance, from Yemeni territory since the start of December. This brings the total number of explosives removed since the project's launch in June 2018 to a staggering 529,116.
The recent clearance efforts have yielded impressive results, with 2,443 unexploded ordnance, 192 anti-tank mines, 8 anti-personnel mines, and 13 explosive devices removed from the ground. Additionally, Masam teams cleared 319,930 square meters of land last week alone, totaling 1,051,948 square meters cleared since December 1st.
