Injured soldiers of the Yemeni National Army in Taiz governorate began an open strike outside the governorate building today, Sunday, demanding their rights and an end to their suffering.
The strike follows years of neglect and government disregard for their medical treatment, financial compensation, and critical cases requiring urgent surgery and rehabilitation.
The injured soldiers stated they've exhausted all avenues - letters, meetings with officials - without progress, leaving them no choice but this strike.
They urge the government, local authorities, and Defense Ministry to pay outstanding dues immediately, provide comprehensive medical care, and resolve their medical and administrative files to ensure dignified lives.
The injured also call on rights groups, media, and Taiz citizens to highlight their cause and support their cause until demands are fully met.
