A seminar organized by the Yemen Scholars Communication Program emphasized the pivotal role of Yemeni scholars in protecting society from Houthi sectarian ideology.
Head of Yemen Scholars Association, Sheikh Ahmed bin Hassan Al-Muallem, stated that scholars faced severe challenges including oppression, arrests, displacement, and confiscation of mosques and properties, yet continued their mission to promote moderation and counter Houthi ideology.
The seminar discussed the scholarly and preaching role in countering Houthi ideology, future efforts to promote moderation and combat extremism, and the importance of challenging Houthi ideology intellectually and socially.
Speakers urged continued education, preaching, and combating extreme ideologies to protect Yemen's national and religious identity.
