Three Fishermen Killed in Houthi Landmine Explosion off Yemen's Coast

A tragic incident occurred off the coast of Yemen's Hodeidah province, where three fishermen from the same family were killed in a landmine explosion attributed to Houthi militia.

The incident took place near Kamaran Island, where the fishermen, identified as Naeem Abdo Dom, Aslam Abdo Dom, and Issa Basili, were heading out to sea when their boat triggered the explosive device.

The governor of Hodeidah condemned the incident, stating that it was part of a pattern of ongoing crimes committed by the Houthi militia against civilians.

The Houthi terrorists have planted landmines ubiquitously in Yemeni waters, as in land, which has resulted in the deaths and injuries of numerous civilians, including fishermen

Houthi Shia terrorists have laid more than two million land and sea mines since the start of their wars (as of 2004), turning Yemen into “the most-mined country since World War II.

Thousands of Yemenis, largely civilians, have been killed or maimed and landmines, despite extraction efforts, still pose a threat for future Yemeni generations.
