The Women’s Department of the Yemeni Islah Party in the Socotra Archipelago held a vibrant cultural and artistic ceremony on Saturday to mark the 35th anniversary of the party’s founding.
In her address, Najoum Abdullah, head of the Women’s Department in Socotra’s executive office, congratulated the party’s leadership and members on the anniversary and extended her best wishes to the Yemeni people and their leadership on the occasion of the September and October national revolutions.
Abdullah emphasized that the celebration is a moment to remember the struggles and sacrifices made by Islah members and national heroes in pursuit of freedom, independence, and the establishment of the republic.
She praised the remarkable contributions of Islah’s women members across various fields and reaffirmed the department’s commitment to preserving Socotra’s cultural heritage and national identity. She also called for strengthening women’s role in this area.
