A child was martyred after a mine planted by the terrorist Houthi militia exploded while she was grazing livestock in the Bayt Al-Faqih district, south of Hodeidah governorate.
The Yemeni Observatory for Mines said, in a post on Facebook, that the Houthi mine led to the death of the 9-year-old girl, Aisha Bakhit, immediately, in a new tragedy added to the record of Houthi crimes against civilians, especially children in areas affected by mines.
Hodeidah governorate is one of the governorates most affected by Houthi mines, ranking second in the number of victims, with the total number of martyrs reaching 835 people, according to a recent official statistic that documented the martyrdom and injury of 9,583 citizens as a result of Houthi mines until the end of 2024.
