Member of the Islah anc chief of the party's parliamentary block Abdul-Razak al-Hajri said the December 2 uprising represents an addition to the national liberation struggle led by the Yemeni people and their loyal national forces since the first day of the ill-fated coup on September 21, 2014.
He stressed in a speech during the event to commemorate the seventh anniversary of the December 2 uprising, Wednesday in the western city of Taiz, that there is no way to restore the republic and the country but to throw the past and its wounds behind our backs, and leave the square of division and difference.
Hajri stressed working sincerely hand in hand, under the theme of "common destiny and one leadership", explaining that the dispute, division and conflict between national forces which believe in the values of revolution and republic, was the main cause of the fall of the state and the return of the Imamate in its ugly face.
He pointed out that the Houthi epidemic and its coup against the republic taught everyone a cruel lesson with their blood, money, homes and longings for it, stressing that the Yemeni people will continue their national struggle until the institutions of the state are restored and the coup is overthrown.
