A human rights report documented 10,156 violations committed by the terrorist Houthi militia against women in 17 Yemeni governorates during the period from September 21, 2016 - March 1, 2024.
The Yemeni Network for Rights and Freedoms said: "Our team documented 10,156 violations committed by the Houthi militia in Yemen against women, during which 2,786 women were killed and 4,369 were injured, whether by artillery shelling, landmine explosions and explosive devices, as well as sniping and indiscriminate shelling with live ammunition at residential neighborhoods.
It pointed out that the Houthi militia kidnapped and tortured 447 women, including 69 who were taken to secret prisons and subjected to enforced disappearance, and 78 Yemeni women detained in the militia's secret and declared prisons were subjected to torture and fabricated charges affecting their honor, in addition to trading with their honor.
