In preparation for a visit to the People’s Republic of China, the Secretary-General of Yemen's Islah party and his will-be accompanying delegation met yesterday, Monday, with the Acting Chinese Ambassador to Yemen Shao Zheng.
During the meeting, they discussed the agenda of the Islah delegation’s visit to Beijing, which comes at the invitation of the Chinese Communist Party, and the meetings between the leadership of the two parties.
The two sides also discussed bilateral friendly relations between the two parties, ways to strengthen and develop them, enhance cooperation and benefit from the expertise of the Chinese Communist Party.
The Secretary-General praised the Chinese position in support of Yemen in various fields, stressing the depth of the historical relations between the two friendly countries and peoples.
For his part, the Acting Ambassador of China praised the role of Islah in the Yemeni arena, praising the political efforts and its positive response to all efforts made to achieve peace.
The Chinese ambassador stressed the keenness to strengthen relations between the two parties, the Yemeni Islah Party and the Chinese Communist Party.
The delegation of the Yemeni Islah Party, led by the Secretary-General, will head to Beijing today, Tuesday, on a ten-day working visit.
