The Executive Unit for the Management of IDPs Camps revealed that 6,495 displaced families in 204 camps were affected by the heavy rains that hit Marib Governorate last Friday.
The Executive Unit stated in a report that preliminary statistics indicate that 253 displaced families were totally affected, as the rains and floods caused the loss and damage of homes and all the houses' contents including food and shelter materials and possessions, while about 6,200 families were partially affected.
The Executive Unit pointed out in its report that the most important emergency needs of families affected by rain and floods are the provision of food and shelter, starting with high-quality tents and plastic sheets, in addition to food supplies, shelter materials, clothing, and sanitation maintenance.
