The government media office in the Gaza Strip announced, on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, that the “number of people martyred during Israeli airstrikes on the Strip since last October 7 had risen to 11,500, including 4,710 children and 3,160 women, at a time when the occupation army continues targeting hospitals full of displaced people.
The office said in a statement on the Telegram platform: “The number of martyrs reached 11,500, including 4,710 children and 3,160 women, and the number of martyrs among healthcare workers has reached 200,” adding: “Also, 22 civil defense men and 51 journalists were martyred, while the number of injured [civilians] has reached 29,800. About 70% of them are children and women.”
The latest toll announced by the office, yesterday evening, Tuesday, amounted to “11,320 dead, including 4,650 children and 3,145 women.” The office pointed out that “the number of destroyed government headquarters reached 95, and 255 schools, of which 63 were out of service. As for the number of destroyed mosques, 74 mosques were completely destroyed, and 162 other mosques were partially destroyed."
