An employee of an international organization dies of torture in Houthi jail in Sana'a

An employee of an international organization has died under torture in the prisons of the Houthi coup militia in Sanaa.

A human rights source told Al-Sahwa Net that the Houthi militia kidnapped the security official of Save the Children in Yemen, Hisham Al-Hakimi, about 50 days ago without leveling any charges against him in Sana'a, forcibly disappeared him, and tortured him to death.

According to the source, Al-Hakimi returned from Jordan to Sanaa months ago, to work from within, after two years of work in Jordan, but Houthi militia intelligence elements kidnapped him without justification and without charge, and called late Tuesday for his family to come and receive his body after his death.

According to the human rights source, Al-Hakimi’s family refused to receive the body and demanded an autopsy and a report from the forensic experts on the causes of his death.

Over the years, the Houthi militia has exploited organizations, kidnapped their employees, and controlled the organizations’ work.
