A member of the terrorist Houthi militia has kidnapped a girl in central Yemen's Ibb Governorate to force her family to marry her off to a comrade of his in central Yemen's Ibb governorate, local sources said on Wednesday.
The sources said that a militant by the name Qaid Al-Husseini kidnapped a girl in Al-Udayn District in Ibb Governorate, to force her family to marry her off to Abbas Faye'a. a fellow militant whom the Houthi militia had just named as administrator of Al-Udayn District. The kidnapper has been exerting extensive pressure on the girl's family to force them to marry the girl off to the militant.
According to the sources, the militia refused to implement the directives of the prosecution and the court to return the girl to her family, after the girl’s father lodged a complaint. The Houthi militia commi daily violations and crimes, and last year they amounted to more than 6,300 crimes, according to a report by the Monitoring Organization for Rights and Freedoms.
