Government condemns new Houthi massacre in Taiz

Yemen Minister of Information Muammar Al-Eryani has condemned the heinous Houthi massacre that led to the death of five civilians and injury of 12 others in Yemen's central Taiz governorate.

Al-Eryani said that the foreign backed terrorist militia of Houthis fired artillery shells on the house of Faisal Muhammad Muqbil Al-Zahari in the village of Al-Ghawshah in Maqbana district west of Taiz, killing five civilians and injuring 12 others, most of them women and children from the same family.

He said the appalling crime is a new episode in the interminable series of daily brutal and deliberate genocides the sectarian militia have been practicing against civilians in the besieged Taiz governorate for nine years, genocides that have claimed the lives of tens of thousands of women and children or injury of thousands others amidst international silence.

Al-Eryani called on the international community, the United Nations and its special envoy to Yemen, and human rights organizations in the world, to issue a clear condemnation of this heinous crime, which reflects the brutality and bloodiness of the Houthi militia and strips it of all human and moral values. He also called for the prosecution of those responsible including the sectarian militia's leaders as war criminals.
