The Yemeni government has renewed its warning of a resurgence of measles among children in areas under the control of the terrorist Houthi militia.
Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Muammar al-Eryani said, "The outbreak of diseases and epidemics is a result of rumors and systematic incitement campaigns led by the militia against vaccinations, restrictions imposed on immunization programs and campaigns, and malnutrition resulting from the difficult conditions that citizens live in due to the suspension of salaries."
Al-Eryani pointed out that field reports confirm that hospitals in a number of governorates under the control of the Houthi militia receive dozens of cases of measles and other deadly diseases and epidemics on a daily basis, and that dozens of children died of the measles pandemic, in light of a media blackout imposed by the militia.
