The Chairman of the Supreme Commission of the Yemeni Congregation for Reform (Islah) party, Professor Muhammad al-Yadumi, received on Thursday the Ambassador of the United States of America to our country, Steven Fagin.
Ambassador Fagin's visit came to check on the health of Professor al-Yadumi, who underwent a successful surgery in a hospital in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, last week.
The US ambassador wished the head of the Supreme Commission for Reform a speedy recovery.
Al-Yadumi expressed his thanks and appreciation to Ambassador Fagin for his visit and checking on him after the surgery, wishing him good health and happiness.
The head of the Supreme Commission for Reform appreciated America's position in support of the legitimacy, unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Yemen.
During the visit, the two sides discussed a number of issues and developments on the Yemeni scene, especially with regard to efforts to establish peace, which collide with the intransigence and disavowal of the Houthi militia and its continued violation of crimes and violations.
They also touched on ways to support the government to be able to fulfill its obligations, provide services, and address the deteriorating economic conditions that citizens suffer from.
