The Houthi militia are again deploying informal gas stations inside residential neighborhoods, amid widespread public rejection
Leaders of the Houthi militia have re-deployed gas stations in residential neighborhoods in Ibb governorate, central Yemen, amid widespread societal rejection and calls for the closure of these stations.
Local sources said that merchants from the Houthi militia deployed gas stations in residential neighborhoods in the city of Ibb, the capital of the governorate, at a time when the people refused the existence of these stations, which they see as threats to their lives.
According to the sources, one of those stations was installed in the "Al-Sha'ab" neighborhood in the city of Ibb, indifferent to the demands of the people and their lives, which are threatened by the fire accident risks posed by these stations.
The residents signed a petition calling for the station to be removed, stressing that it has become a ticking bomb that will cause major disasters if it continues to exist.
