A woman and her eldest son were killed in the renewed Houthi shelling of residential neighborhoods in Haifan district, south of Taiz governorate.
Local sources in the Haifan districtsaid that the foreign-backed Houthi militia launched artillery shelling on the attack area in Al-Abous area, south of the Haifan district on Friday evening.
The sources added that a mortar shell landed near a house killing Omar Mukhtar, 20 years old, and his mother Aida Hamid Abdo, 40 years old.
After the Houthi bombing, the victims were taken to Tur Al-Baha General Hospital in Lahj Governorate, but they died before reaching the hospital.
About a month ago, the Houthi militia intensified its artillery shelling and drone attacks on the southern villages of the Haifan district, south of Taiz governorate, and neighboring areas in the Al-Qubaytah district, north of Lahj governorate.
