Taiz authorities unveil events to mark passage of 3,000 days of Houthi siege

Today, Wednesday, the local authority in Taiz governorate announced that it is organizing various events to highlight the suffering of civilians in the city of Taiz, marking the passage of 3,000 days of Houthi siege on the city.

A communiqué issued by the authority said that the events coincide with the passage of 8 years of the ominous siege imposed by the Houthi militia on the city, and the passage of 3000 days since one of the longest and most heinous crimes in modern history, which is full of human suffering that more than four million citizens have lived through and are still suffering.

It stated that the activities will start with a press conference Thursday, July 13, 2023 AD at 10:40 am, the day the Houthis began imposing a siege on the city of Taiz, pointing out that the program, which lasts for a week.

The program will include the launch of a wide field and electronic media campaign under the hashtag # Taiz 3000_Day_Siege, which will start on Thursday evening, July 13 at 8:00, and a human chain will be arranged at one of the outlets, along with a photo exhibition showing part of the details of the siege.
