Taiz: A child killed by an explosive left by Houthi militants

A child was killed by an explosive left by the terrorist Houthi militia in Yemen's Taiz governorate today, official and local sources have said.

The Yemeni Landmine Observatory stated that Arafat Abdo Ghaleb Al-Wahaibi, a 13-year-old boy, was killed by an explosive in Shawkan area in Mawiya countryside of Taiz.

The child had found the mortar shell while he was grazing livestock in the area, and started tampering with it before it exploded and killed him immediately.

During the eight year war on Taiz Shia militants left thousands of explosives, booby-traps and landmines that still kill civilians to this day.
