Government condemns Houthi transfer of 20 young men from jail to jail over participation in activist's funeral

The Yemeni government has condemned the transfer of 20 young men from Ibb governorate to Sana'a on charges of participating in the funeral of the activist Al-Mukahhal, who was killed in mysterious circumstances in a Houthi-run prison in Ibb.

Minister of Information Muammar Al-Eryani, condemned, in the strongest terms, the Houthi transfer of 20 young men from Ibb's Old City over participating in the funeral of the activist Hamdi Abdel-Razzaq, nicknamed " Al-Mukahhal ", from the militia's detention centers in Ibb Governorate to what It is called the "Security and Intelligence Service" in the hijacked capital, Sana'a, three months after they were kidnapped and forcibly disappeared.

Muammar Al-Eryani explained that the young men, who were detained over participation in the funeral of the activist Hamdi Abdel-Razzaq, Al-Mukahhal and were subjected throughout their abduction and enforced disappearance to various forms of psychological and physical torture, ill-treatment and neglect in the detention centers of the so-called Security, Intelligence and Criminal Investigation Apparatus and the Security Department of Al-Mashnah Directorate in the city of Ibb, all of which are under the control of the Houthi senior militant Abu Ali Al-Kahlani.
