Houthi militia seizes commercial company and permanently prevents its owners from practicing trade

The terrorist Houthi militia seized a commercial company in Sana'a, and permanently banned its owners from practicing trade. Human rights sources said that a Houthi court ruled to take control of the Qaten Company for Trade and Industry, confiscating the company's machinery and equipment and turning it into a Houthi organization.

The Houthi decision also stipulated that Fouad Taha Qaten, Taha Ahmed Qaten, Abdullah Ahmed Al Saadi, Ali Ahmed Qaten, and Muhammad Taha Qaten, be banned from practicing trade forever.

The militia court did not suffice with the company's resources, and issued orders to imprison its owners for periods ranging between seven and two years, under the pretext of convicting them of producing and selling contaminated and non-conforming goods.

The Houthi militia had previously raided the house of the businessman, "Taha Qaten", confiscated the foodstuffs in his stores and accused him of trading hashish, because of his refusal to pay huge sums of money, which the militia requested under the pretext of celebrating the Prophet's birthday.

The Houthi decision comes within the context of the Houthi comprehensive war against the private sector in order to establish a deep foundation for its military, cultural, economic and social roots, and aims, by destroying the private sector, to build a Houthi war economy similar to what the Iranian Revolutionary Guard did, specifically the headquarters of the Seal of the Prophets, which manages the economic activity of the IRGC.
