A young girl was shot dead by Houthi militants in central Yemen's Ibb governorate on Monday, local sources have said.

Houthi gunmen exchanging fire in a dispute over a piece of land shot dead eight year old Safaa Abdulaziz in Al-Ka'ida city south of Ibb.

Houthi militants have been killing civilians in direct intentional and unintentional assaults on a continuous basis in the militant-controlled Ibb governorate where lawlessness prevails.
