Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, Major General Sultan Al-Erada, confirmed that the continued Houthi military escalation in Marib and other governorates threatens the efforts of the United Nations Secretary-General's envoy and the chances of peace in the country.
Al-Erada made the remarks in a conversation with the US Ambassador to Yemen, Steven Fagin, on the current challenges facing efforts to achieve peace in light of the continued Houthi escalation on various fronts, according to the Yemeni news agency, Saba.
Al-Erada made reference to the terrorist Houthi militia's recent bombing of civilians' villages and homes in the Harib district and Al-Zour village in eastern Yemen's Marib governorate of which he is the governor and in several parts of western Yemen's Taiz governorate.
