As many as 14 civilians were killed and injured by Houthi-laid landmines during the past 48 hours in 5 Yemeni governorates, informed Yemeni sources said on Friday.
The Yemeni Landmine Observatory said that it had documented the death of a child and the injury of 13 civilians, including 5 children and three women, in the governorates of Hodeidah, Al-Jawf, Saada, Hajjah, and Lahj.
On Thursday, the Observatory announced it had documented the death and injury of 74 civilians, during the month of January, as a result of landmine blasts.
Houthi terrorists are responsible for planting nearly two landmine landmines in eight years in Yemen, the largest number of landmines planted in a single country since WWII. Thousands of people have been killed and maimed in mine blasts so far.
