An entire family was killed and injured in western Yemen on Wednesday, as a result of the explosion of an improvised explosive device left by the terrorist Houthi militia in western Yemen's Hodeidah.
The Yemeni Landmine Observatory said that a woman and her two daughters were killed, and the family's patriarch was critically wounded, as a result of the explosion of an IED left by the militia in Hodeidah Governorate.
The family's head reportedly found the IED disguised as a piece of water pipe and when he took it home to make use of it, it exploded in his house injuring him seriously and killing his wife and two of his daughters, one 10 years and another 12 years in age.
Yemen government and independent sources estimate that Houthis have planted and scattered (disguised) over two million explosive devices in different parts of Yemen over the past eight years, incurring thousands of casualties most of them civilians especially women and children.
