A source in Yemen's Defense Ministry has confirmed that the high-way crime gang who killed two soldiers and wounded four others escorting a UN convoy in east Yemen last week are linked to the Houthi terrorist militia.
The source said in a statement, "The aggressions that the saboteurs gang led by a man called Ali Naser Huraydeqan and involved in attacking passersby in the international highway between Marib and Hadhramout governorates" have "a linkage and coordination with the terrorist Houthi militia."
The gang killed two soldiers and injured four others in a surprise assault on security men escorting a mission belonging to the International Organization for Migration in Al-Abr highway last week.
The source said the security forces will hit with an iron first all militants who destabilize security and terrorize the safe people."
