Yemen's Congregation for Reform (Islah) has condemned as " cowardly terrorist" the attack on the political party's office in the eastern Yemeni province of Shabwa on Tuesday afternoon.
An official in the party's branch in Shabwa has said, "The executive office of the Islah in Ataq [Shabwa's provincial capital] has come under a cowardly terrorist attack" by a bomb that had been placed near the office's wall.
The official confirmed there were "thank God, there were no casualties."
The official said the perpetrator aimed to sow discord amongst the people of Shabwa at a time when they needed unification of ranks most. The local security authorities set on investigations into the blast immediately and the official demanded on wrapping them up and bringing the culprits to justice.
"The Islah won't be disheartened from its peaceful struggle with all the good people of the province toward fulfilling the people's aspiration for freedom and dignified life," said the official.
