A Houthi militiaman shot his father dead and then cut off his head over the father's refusal to join the militia's warfronts, local sources have said, in the latest parricide crime in the Houthi militia's areas of control in north Yemen.
The militiaman known as Mohammed Mahmood Hassan reportedly tried to entice his father and brothers to "stand by the Houthi [militia's] leader Abdulmalik Al-Houthi" by joining the warfronts but when the father talked back, the son showered him with bullets and then cut off his head with a dagger.
Scores of Shia Houthi extremists indoctrinated in the militia's sectarian lessons have killed their parents and other relatives in the past months.
