A Yemeni journalist survived unhurt from an attempt on his life by a Houthi sniper in the central Yemen city of Taiz, local sources have said.
Fuad Al-Wajeeh a freelance journalist was sitting in his room when a Houthi sniper stationed in the northern frontline of the Taiz city fired a machinegun shot into his room missing him by only half a meter, acquaintances to Al-Wajeeh have said.
Houthi snipers stationed in hilltops around the besieged city have gunned down hundreds of civilians mostly children and adult women since they first laid the siege around Taiz in 2015. This month alone, they have so far gunned five civilians.
