Six civilians killed and injured by Houthi-laid landmine in north Yemen

Three civilians were killed and injured by Houthi-laid landmines in north Yemen's Aljawf province on Tuesday, the Yemeni Observatory on Landmines has said in a tweet.

Mahmoud Almahmoudi 22, Basheer Al-Raymi 24 and Ahmed Al-Dhamari 27 were killed and three others were wounded when their car hit a landmine in a desert Aljawf road leading to the neighboring province of Aljawf. This comes four days after eight civilians were killed and injured in a similar landmine accident.

Houthis, a terrorist Shiit organization fighting since 2004 to establish an expansionist theocracy, is the only warring party in Yemen planting landmines and has planted hundreds of thousands of them leaving thousands of civilian casualties and a danger for the Yemeni generations to come.

The United Nations has provided it with millions of dollars' worth of aid including USD 14 million in 2018 ostensibly as funds to "remove landmines."
