Houthi landmine farm covering a 700 sq meter area discovered

Yemeni military units discovered a Houthi militant-laid landmine farm extending over an area of 700 square meters in the Red Sea governorate of Hodeidah (Yemen's west), it was reported on Tuesday.

The Media Center of the Giants Brigades forces linked to both the Yemeni government and the UAE said military engineers found the farm while removing booby traps from houses in the recently liberated parts of Aljarrahi district in Hodeidah. The farm "was discovered around the village of Alqadheebah and extending into nearby plantations belonging to people" from that village.

"The landmines are planted in a sophisticated way that ensures the explosion of the entire [700 sq meter] area, a handiwork that betrays the magnitude of Houthi militia's criminality and how they deliberately plant death in all spaces without discriminating which one is military and which one is civilian."
