A team of the International Committee for Red Cross arrived in Taiz on Sunday and was briefed on the tragic situation of the city.
The team held meetings with officials of the governorate and visited some public facilities including al-Tahwarah Hospital.
Taiz governorate suffers from siege which has been imposed on it by militias of the Houthis and ousted President Ali Abdullah Saleh for about two years.
The militias cut off food, medicines, water and all essential commodities, forcing hundreds of thousands of people to displace.
Most medical facilities were suspended and physicians also left the city, so most of people live in a tragic situation.
