Yemen: Three civilians wounded by Houthi landmines in Dhale'a

Three civilians including a child have been wounded in the explosion of a landmine planted by the Houthi terrorist militia in southern Yemen's province of Dhale'a, the Yemeni Observatory on Landmines said on Monday.

A civilian car hit a landmine in Hajar valley in Dhale'a which led to the injury of "Nabil Mohammed Arifaee, Ahmed Mohammed and his five-year-old son Abdurahman," said the Observatory in a statement.

The Houthi militia have been planting landmines as part of their years long insurgency and the government's said two years ago the planted landmines had exceeded one million in number. Thousands of civilians have been killed and injured in different parts of Yemen over the past years and an unknown number of landmines is still not cleared.
