Marib governor orders authorities to pay urgent cash, material relief aid to new IDPs

The governor of eastern Yemen's Marib has ordered the local authorities in the government-held governorate to hand out urgent cash and material relief aid to scores of civilians newly re-displaced again the Houthi militia attacking Rahabah, a Marib outskirt.

Sultan al-Eradah ordered the authorities to pay YR 100 thousand (roughly $97) in cash, a food pack and emergency response kit for each displaced family.

The Shiit terrorist militia have recently intensified their military escalation against Rahabah displacing as of Thursday scores of families who had just returned to their homes from a previous displacement.

The sectarian militia have been fighting a seemingly endless war against the government since 2015 and especially intensified their offensive after the US administration of Joe Biden indicated it was going to reverse a still fresh terrorist designation from Trump's last days.
