Yemen army seizes over 20,000 passports, foils massive identity fraud by Houthis

Yemen's army has seized a shipment of more than 20,000 blank passport books bound for the Houthis in Sana'a, Yemeni military sources said on Friday, foiling a massive identity fraud planned by the Iran-backed terrorist militia.

The commander of the Sixth Military Region of the army Maj. Gen. Omar Sajjaf said the army in the northeastern Aljawf province had "managed at the conclusion of a surveillance operation to seize a truck carrying more than 20 thousand passports on its fiberglass body" while en route to the terrorist Houthi militia in Sana'a, to the west.

Sajjaf said the Houthis would exploit this large quantity of passports to "carry out terrorist operations and get the militia's leaders to travel outside the country" with fraudulent identities.
