Iranian military officer supervises Houthi child radicalization camps, says Yemen official

An Iranian military officer is supervising Houthi summer schools for radicalizing tens of thousands of children in the capital Sana’a, a Yemeni minister has said, in an apparent grooming of the young militants to fight the government.

Yemen’s Information Minister Muammar al-Eryani said on Friday that Hassan Eyrlo, an officer in the IRGC and Iran’s “ambassador” to Houthis in Sana’a is supervising the graduation of children from the “Summer Camps” which radicalize children during the summer vacation.

Al-Eryani told Saba that Eyrlo is “supervising graduations in the ‘summer camps’ where Houthis recruit tens of thousands of children from the capital Sana’a and other areas under the militias’ control.”

“With Iranian supervision, the Houthi militia lure children to training, deform their identity and instill death, hatred and the overall Iranian terrorist ideology into their minds,” he told the state-run news agency.
