The chief of the National Union for Marginalized Yemenis (of African origin) said in a tweet he feels sad that members of his black community get killed, injured and arrested as Houthi militants exploit them to fuel the war against the government in Marib governorate.
Noaman al-Hodheifi said in a tweet: “I saddens me that my black kinsmen get killed, injured, and arrested in Marib deserts. Some of them are even physically eliminated from behind, by the Houthi militants, if they want to surrender to the national army. It saddens me that they are forced to die in defense of a racist dynastical agenda that sees them as mere slaves.”
