The international pampering Houthis are enjoying is hardening their militancy and rejectionism. The militia started this weekend a fresh fierce military campaign against the government-held Marib and Aljawf as the US eradication of their terror designation and ban on arms sales to the Arab Coalition fighting them gave them a morale boost.
While fueling a very fierce war in the two governorates on a large scale, the militants’ self-styled courts in Sana’a issued, on Tuesday, a death sentence against 11 Yemeni MPs and ruled that they be executed by fire squad in al-Tahrir Square.
The Houthis accused the sentenced MPs of “treachery and mercenariness” an accusations the Shia theocratic murderers use against anyone who opposes their notion of governance.
