Houthi coup costs Yemen $90 billion in GDP losses

Alsahwa Net- Yemen's GDP has lost, since and as a result of the Houthi coup of 21st September 2014, USD90 billion, the Yemeni government has said.

The country's permanent representative to the United Nations Ambassador Abdullah al-Saadi said in a speech at the UN General Assembly's 31st round that the theocratic militia's war since then has caused the collapse of the national currency and caused millions of Yemeni families to fall under the poverty line.

The ambassador also said the government faced a huge challenge as a result of the militia's concealment of the true figures of coronavirus in their regions of control.
