Gov’t official: Iran’s attempts to impose fait accompli in Houthis-controlled areas will not succeed

Alsahwa Net-Minster of Information, Muamar Al-Eryani said on Friday that Tehran's attempts to impose a fait accompli in Houthis-controlled areas will not succeed.

“Yemeni people who resisted Iranian expansionist project continue to reject all forms of Iranian existence and tutelage and will continue their struggle until liberation of every inch of Yemeni soil,” Al-Eryani said.

He voiced these remarks following appearance of Iran’s recently appointed envoy to the Houthis in Sana’a during a rally organized in the capital Sana’a on Thursday.

“Appearance of Hassan Erlo, an officer in terrorist Quds Force at Houthi event in Sana'a, confirms what we said about Iranian regime imposing a military ruler to Sana,” he said.

He added that Erlo was given absolute powers to oversee sectarian incitement and mobilizing of recruits to the warfronts.

“Iranian regime’s pursuing of provocative policies and escalation in Yemen is a result of the silence of international community and failure of UNSC  to fulfill its mandate in implementing UN Charter in cases of threats to peace and aggression and to take necessary measures to preserve international peace and security,” Al-Eryani said.
