Yemen: Gov’t official reaffirms state return to Socotra

Alsahwa Net-Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mohammed Al-Hadhrami reaffirmed on Tuesday on the need for the return of state offices to Socotra Island to restore the rule of law and resume the public service.

Al-Hadhrami voiced this during his virtual meeting with the UK State Minister for the Middle East and North Africa, James Cleverly.

Al-Hadhrami and Cleverly discussed efforts to boost up mutual relations between Yemen the UK toward peace in Yemen.

Al-Hadhrami condemned the Houthis’ escalation in south Hodeida and constant breaching to the truce.

He held the Houthis accountable for consequences of the truce collapse in Hodeida.

He affirmed on the government’s capacity to complete liberation of Hodeida by support of the Saudi-led coalition.

He also deplored the Houthis for impeding the United Nations (UN) experts’ access to the Safer tanker and called on the UN Security Council to take firm actions to resolve the issue.
