Saudi Arabia hosts donor conference for Yemen next June

Alsahwa Net- Saudi Arabia organizes a virtual donor conference for Yemen on Tuesday 2nd June 2020 with participation of the United Nations (UN).

The conference will be led by Saudi Arabia which has been the major contributor to the global humanitarian and development needs particularly in Yemen.

In Yemen, Saudi Arabia provided humanitarian and relief assistance and funds for reconstruction projects as well as cash deposit to stabilize value of the Yemeni Rial.

Meanwhile, the spokesman of the Saudi-led coalition, Turki Al-Maliki denied on Sunday deportation of 800 Somali nationals to Yemen.

He said that news stories published by the Houthis on this case are untrue and baseless.

He added that such allegations are extension of the Houthis’ systematic inhumane treatment by the Houthis towards the African migrants in Yemen.

He explained that the Houthis forced last April 8,000 African migrants in Yemen to displace to Saudi Arabia.

He said that the Houthis exploit the COVID-19 Pandemic to confuse the Saudi border guard and incite the international organizations against the Saudi government.

African migrants who fled to Saudi Arabia were provided with food, shelter and medical care, according to Al-Maliki.
