Alsahwa Net- The Saudi-led coalition that supports the legitimate government in Yemen said on Monday that it recorded over 1,000 violations to the truce by the Houthis rebels.
In a statement, the coalition confirmed that the Houthis violated the ceasefire 1,096 times since it began on 9 April.
The reported violations included hostile military acts using ballistic missiles, heavy and medium weapons.
“We exercise maximum levels of self-restraint to the rules of clashes. Yet, we maintain the right for self-defense,” the statement said.
It reaffirmed commitment by the coalition to the ongoing truce and support to efforts led by the United Nations (UN) Special Envoy to Yemen to reach a political solution.
The Houthis mounted their military activities since the coalition and the government announced a bilateral ceasefire to support countering the spread of the COVID-19.
The government’s forces foiled on Sunday several attempts of penetration by the Houthis militants in Nehm warfront, east of the capital Sana’a.
In Al-Jawf, the government forces dropped uncrewed aerial vehicle launched by the Houthis fighters on sites of the army.
