Gov: Houthis use UN tolerance to increase attacks against civilians

Alsahwa Net- The government condemned with strong terms ongoing Houthis missile-attacks against civilians in Marib and Al-Jawf.

The latest Houthi missile -attack took place last Thursday’s evening which targeted the Airport neighborhood of Marib city.

The attack resulted into death of one citizen and injury of other four citizens.

It also damaged houses of the same area.

A government source said that the Houthis militia continues doing such terror attacks against civilians because of tolerance by the United Nations (UN) towards their crimes.

The source reaffirmed that the UN and the international community must take a firm and clear position towards such terror acts.

“The missile-attacks against civilians and military escalation by the Houthis confirm again bloody characters of the Houthis militia who destroys Yemen to benefit Iran,” the source said.

It added that such terror acts are imprescriptible crimes and perpetrators will be brought to justice sooner or later.

The Houthis began late last January large-scale military attack against the government-held Al-Jawf and Marib.

They carried out several missile-attacks against residential areas that caused death and injury and property damage among civilians of Al-Jawf and Marib.

The UN Special Envoy to Yemen, Martin Griffiths, called on Friday for de-escalation in Al-Jawf and Marib and criticized targeting of civilians.
