Taiz: Pregnant, her fetus and second child killed in Shia extremists attack

Alsahwa Net- A pregnant woman, her fetus and a second (six year old) child were killed in an attack by Shia extremist Houthis in Yemen's central city of Taiz on Friday, local sources said.

The theocratic militants shelled mortar rounds on the villages of Al-Hajamah in Hayfan, a Taiz outskirt, early Friday morning killing Ahlam Mahdi, in her eighth month of pregnancy, her fetus and her child Asem Waseem Abed, and injuring her three other children severely, the sources said.

"Ten-year-old Lamees was injured by a shrapnel in her back, eight-year-old Abbad  by a shrapnel in his back too and 12-year-old Hamas by fragments in her head," elaborated a medical source. "They are all life-threatening injuries."

The theocratic militants invaded Taiz in March 2015 and have since been besieging the provincial capital, shelling it and killing civilians in tireless attempts to wrest its control from the government.
