The Shia terrorist Houthis and radical separatist militants known as the Southern Transitional Council are escalating their attacks on the Yemeni legitimate government threatening to topple it.
"One from the north and the other from the south they are besieging the government strongholds in Marib and Shabwa militarily and financially," says Emad Ahmed, a political analyst based in Marib.
"The Houthis took control early this week on the city of Al-Hazm north of Marib and set up sort of a blockade on Marib. Separatist militants blew up a key oil pipeline in Shabwa to push the government, already too cash-strapped to pay public servants, to the brink of collapse," he said.
The bombing of the pipeline on Wednesday was the second such attack in a week and one in continuous episodes meant to make the government unable to pay the army engaged in six years of defense against diehard theocratic fighters of Houthi who want to invade the government cities.
