Houthis detain 40 citizens in Sana’a

Alsahwa Net-The Iran-backed Houthis militia have detained scores of citizens in Hamdan district, north the capital Sana’a.

The detainees were brought to a compulsory sectarian training course, local sources said.

The sources said that the arbitrary detainees are from Al-Hawri area of Hamdan, the Military Mouthpiece 26 September Net reported.

The Houthis militants stormed a number of houses and farms in Hamdan and took the 40 men to Darwan Police Station in the area.

Five elderly men are among the detainees, according to the 26 September Net.

The Houthis-imposed governor of Sana’a governorate, Abdulbasit Al-Hadi, has ordered release of the detainees provided that they attend a one-week sectarian training course.

Citizens in the Houthis-held areas have been recently vulnerable to compulsory sectarian courses by the Houthis officials.
