Militias of the Houthis and ousted President Ali Abdullah Saleh on Sunday morning kidnapped the prominent activist of Yemen Youth Revolution Saleh al-Muzalim.
Al-Muzalim was one of the most outstanding activists who spearheaded the 2011 revolution against the regime of Saleh.
He along with a number of his neighbors was detained from the neighborhood of al-Khair and al-Salam in the capital Sana'a.
Many Yemeni activist vividly denounced the abduction of al-Muzalim on their facebook pages, demanding the Houthis to immediately release him.
The Yemeni advocate Khalid al-Anisi said that Saleh used the Houthis to retaliate against those activists who took part in the ouster of his regime.
The activist Abdul-Kareem Thuail cited that the militias of Saleh and the Houthis continue committing crimes against journalists and activists.
Abu Raif al-Yamani, an activist, made clear that al-Muzalim stopped all his political activism, thinking that he would not be pursued, but they decided to put him in prison to the side of other activists who have been detained since months.
