Government representatives demands UN action against Houthis’ violations

Alsahwa Net-The government’s representatives to the Redeployment Coordination Committee (RCC) demanded on Wednesday the United Nations (UN) mission in Hodeida to take a clear position towards the Houthis’ breaching to the ceasefire agreement in Hodeida.

The government’s members voiced this demand during the seventh round of the RCC meetings which took place on the same day on board of a UN vessel in the Red Sea, off Hodeida city.

The RCC includes also Houthis members and it is headed by the UN Hodeida mission.

The government RCC members deplored continued breaching to the ceasefire agreement by the Houthis in Hodeida that were met by no clear stance by the UN Hodeida mission.

They reaffirmed the need to the redeployment implementation and reopening of humanitarian passages.

The RCC meetings are part of long UN-sponsored discussions between the Houthis rebels and the government that seek implementation of the Stockholm agreement in Hodeida which was signed by the two parties on 13 December 2018.

The government accused the Houthis several times of procrastination to the Stockholm agreement implementation.
